Research approaches to the study of the digital communication, any methodological strategy?

This
article is part of a contribution to the scientific debate posed by digital
communication as to the methodological approaches likely to study it and to
study its ramifications, these contents and these dimensions. The debate still
exists between those who consider "classic" research methods and
tools are sufficient to appropriate their subjects and their issues, as they
were each time a new communication or media medium appeared, because they knew
how to adapt to these communication media, with the emergence of the written
press, then radio and Afterwards, television... and those who do not see the
point of "classic" methods and their methodological techniques,
considering that digital communication is a new phenomenon which requires new
methodological approaches too, but what is wrong with the second proposition is
that the alternatives it proposes fall under the science of software (automated
media), they are research techniques in which the researcher takes into account
all that is programs, algorithms, forms of messages, and users from a
mathematical and statistical point of view.
From
the above, we wanted in this article to expose our point of view on the
subject, and we side with the first team, considering that the approaches that
the second team considers "classic", are valid for many communication
media, from the written word to cartoons and static via audiovisual means and
still images, and of the individual as content creator and initiator in the
creative process, and from there the curricula, techniques, tools and
approaches familiar to researchers in the humanities in general in general, and
in media and communication sciences in particular, are able to study digital
communication, provided that their procedures are adapted to this newcomer.
